DEEP INITIATIVE

Vision Statement

In Habakkuk 2:2, God told prophet Habakkuk to write the vision and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. In the succeeding verses in this chapter, we were not told precisely what the vision was which God told Habakkuk to write. Although we were not told precisely what this vision was, we can get a clue to what it was in verse 14.

For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. Habakkuk 2:14.

This makes us understand that whatever the vision was which God gave to Habakkuk, it was geared towards making the earth filled with the knowledge of the glory of God. This prophecy must be fulfilled like every other prophecy in scriptures that has been fulfilled. In time past never has there been a dire need for the knowledge of the glory of God to fill the earth as waters cover the sea like now.

WHAT IS THE GLORY OF GOD?

The glory of God is the person and presence of God.

Years ago, the person and presence of God was physically revealed to man in the person of Jesus. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.) John 1:1,14

Now, Jesus is revealed to us by the person of the Holy Spirit through the pages of the word of God i.e the Bible, (John 1:1). But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me (John 15:26).

WHAT IS THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE GLORY OF GOD?

The knowledge of the glory of God is the knowledge of Jesus made possible only by the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

Hence, knowing Jesus by the ministry of the Holy Spirit is all there is to the fulfillment of the prophecy in Habakkuk 2:14. In view of this, DEEP is set in place for the realization and fulfillment of this prophecy.

DEEP is a program via which individuals are trained to become the Disciples of Christ Jesus using the Bible as the basis of enlightenment and empowerment. In these times where many important subject matters are removing the focus of saints from Jesus and the Holy Spirit who testifies of Jesus.The vision of DEEP was delivered to remove the focus of saints from every other subject matter and fix it on Jesus and the Holy Spirit who testifies of Jesus.

Hence, DEEP focuses on revealing Jesus by the ministry of the Holy Spirit through the pages of the scriptures thus, empowering saints to go all out for Jesus and demonstrate the christian life to the world.

THE OPERATIONS OF DEEP

DEEP is strictly a training program which involves the following;

1. Theoretical lectures

2. Practical training

3. Fasting schedules

4. Evangelism Outreaches

5. Prayer Marathons

6. Personal Bible study training.

All these are geared towards training disciples of Jesus and to know Jesus more. It is designed to aid every believer see the Lord Jesus Christ in the pages of the scriptures. Also, it will strengthen saints to go all out unashamedly for Jesus.
